Jaap Knevel makes award-winning maps, guides, and archives. He co-created the Future Materials Bank, co-curates the Living Library at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design, teaches visual communication at the Academy of Art, Communication, and Design in his hometown Tilburg, and hosts (virtual) workshops all over the world.

Previously, he was a designer and researcher at Mijksenaar, taught at the Willem de Kooning Academy, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, MA Information Design, and Central Saint Martins UAL, and was a visiting professor at ITESO.

He holds a BA from Design Academy Eindhoven and received an MFA from Konstfack with his thesis ‘There Must Be Other Ways’.
